Summary: I have been providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families for over 10 years. My clinical areas of interest are: Grief, Loss, & Trauma in Urban Communities, Working with LGBTIQ Youth, Improving Mental Health Services for Minority Populations, Play Therapy and Expressive Arts with Underserved Populations, Evidence-based Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Attachment Therapy with Urban Children and Their Families. I have worked in a variety of Metropolitan-Area Community Mental Health agencies in various leadership roles. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in DC, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Maryland, & a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. Additionally, I serve as training consultant & therapy provider, through Urban Playology, which I founded, facilitating trainings to youth serving providers and agencies on a variety of mental health topics. I am Bilingual in Spanish & my dialect influences hail from Peru, El Salvador, & Honduras, with sprinkles of Guatemala & Columbia. At peak leisure, I can be found traveling the globe, immersed in photo journalism, meditating, on my yoga mat, or indulging in my adored nephew's youth.
